Signs It’s Time for New Installation
- Unit is 12+ years old (15+ for high-end Carrier/Trane)
- Major repair quote over 50% of replacement cost
- Energy bills have been climbing year-over-year
- House never feels evenly cooled or heated
- Excessive humidity even with AC running
- Frequent breakdowns — 2+ repairs in a single season
- Refrigerant leaks (especially R-22 systems — refrigerant is being phased out)
- Unit is undersized or oversized for the home
Our Installation Process
1. In-home consultation
Free. We measure your home, evaluate ductwork, assess insulation, and ask how you’re using the space. This drives the right size and system choice.
2. Manual J load calculation
Industry-standard heat-load calculation determines exact tonnage. Most contractors skip this and oversize — we don’t. Oversized systems short-cycle, leave the air humid, and cost more upfront.
3. Equipment options + financing
Three tiers: good (Goodman), better (Trane / Lennox), best (Carrier Elite). Each with installed price, monthly financing payment, and operating cost estimate.
4. 1–2 day installation
Most residential installs are done in a single day. Larger systems or ductwork rebuilds: 2 days. We protect floors and clean up before we leave.
5. Permit pull + inspection
We pull required permits (Florence County) and pass municipal inspection — included in the price, no surprises.
6. Manufacturer warranty registration
We register your warranty within 60 days so you get the full 10–12 year manufacturer coverage. Many contractors skip this and customers lose coverage.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the install take?
Single-day for most residential replacements. 1–2 days if ductwork modifications are needed. We always tell you upfront.
Why are you a Carrier Elite Partner?
Carrier Elite is Carrier’s top dealer status — earned through ongoing training, customer satisfaction scores, and consistent installation quality. It means our customers get factory-direct support and extended warranty options unavailable to non-Elite dealers.
What’s the SEER rating I should look for?
In SC climate, 16 SEER is the practical sweet spot for most homes — meaningful efficiency gains over older systems without paying for performance you won’t recoup. We can quote 14, 16, 18, and 20+ SEER and you choose.
How does the financing work?
$0 down, 0% APR for 24 months for qualified buyers, or low fixed-rate options up to 84 months. Application takes about 5 minutes.
